Tom Ford Lumiere Lip Reviews: Tom Ford’s new Soleil Summer 2018 collection includes some stunning new colours for the eyes, lips, and cheeks. All of the items I’ll be reviewing today were purchased as part of a large-scale buy. Everything went above and beyond my expectations! Many customers have asked me how the new cheek products in this season’s collection compare to previous offerings.
The color can be built up in a natural way once on the skin. The colors in this are a mix of medium pink and orange. Bicoastal and Paradise Lust have very similar colors. However, the differences are minor. Paradise Lust’s orange features more yellow and orange tones than Exotica Flora’s. The pink of Exotica Flora is cozier than that of Bicoastal or Lavender Lure. When applied to the skin, however, the effect is extremely similar. You can better grasp the variations between pans by swatching the products below and reading my views.
This is what I came up with:
- Soleil Cosmetics’ Nude Glow Contouring Compact costs $110.
- Sheer Cheek Duo Exotica Flora ($80)
- Sunstruck Glow Stick ($55) delivers both illumination and shade.
- Lumiere costs $54.00. In Lumiere, Lip Baume
- Ultra Shine Lip Colors in Delectable, Nubile, Luscious, Lavish, and Decadent ($54)
- Sheer Nudist Lip Color ($54)
To bring out the color, a heavy hand was utilized during swatching. As you can see, the colors become considerably more muted once placed on the face. When you blend the colors together, they don’t disappear.
Exotica Flora, Sunstruck, and Nude Glow
Exotica Flora Soleil Contouring Compact Nude Glow and Sheer Cheek Duo | The Beauty Look Book Shade and Illuminate Glow Stick by Tom Ford. Sunstruck Shade & Illuminate Glow Stick is a new dual-ended product with a bar of shimmering gold and a vibrant apricot cream color. These eye shadows blend smoothly into the skin despite their dense and pigmented nature. If you use them to swipe on top of your foundation, you won’t have to worry about them messing it up. It looks dewy when applied to the arm and hand, comparable to the Shade and Illuminates pan compact, but it gets less dewy after blending and has decent lasting power for a cream recipe.
The Nude Glow Soleil Contouring Compact now comes in a new color. The three colors in this palette glitter with powdery gold champagne, peach, and pastel pink. Nude Glow’s top shade is quite similar to the Afternooner’s, but the middle shade is darker and deeper, and the bottom shade is totally different since the Afternoon had a bronzer and Nude Glow has a subtle pink shimmer. Nude Glow seems to fade in the pan due to the light hues. I was skeptical that they would show up on my skin, but they do! When placed together, they create a beautiful ethereal light.
They have a powdery, smooth feel that blends in beautifully with the skin’s surface. If you need a lot of color and richness, the NARS Easy Glowing Palette in Reve Sale is a better choice. Tom Ford’s Soleil Contouring Compact is the right color for Nude Glow. The new Exotica Flora Sheer Cheek Duo is another option. This one, like the previous sheer cheek duos, has a distinct powder feel that is almost creamy. It looks and feels like a cream-powder combination when applied to the cheeks. It also has a long-lasting effect on the skin. When swatching on your hand or arm, be prepared to notice a sheer color. I couldn’t swatch with a brush, so I used my fingertips.
Tom Ford’s Lumière lipstick vs Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm
Lip balms and translucent colors are replacing full-coverage matte lipsticks this season. Lip glosses, on the other hand, are resurfacing thanks to a rush of new products from a variety of firms. We can’t get enough of it now that it’s arrived on our lips. We selected to review and compare two of the most popular recently revealed and trending lip balms – Tom Ford Lumière Lip Color and Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm – because there are so many new ones on the market.

Tom Ford Lumière Lip is a new lip balm from the Soleil 2018 collection. Lumière 01 is the only lip balm color available. It has a silky texture and is nearly translucent, despite its orangish (or papaya-like) appearance in a bullet. This balm interacts with your body’s pH to generate a “naturally heightened” lip color. The lip balm recipe includes hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and natural plant extracts to give it a plump appearance and moisturize and soften your lips. The lip balm comes in a big full-size container in Tom Ford’s characteristic white and gold packaging. It will cost you $54 to get it (Buy Now).
NARS Afterglow Balm
NARS unveiled its Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm as part of its Orgasm Collection. Orgasm is a peachy pink shade with golden glitter from NARS, similar to Tom Ford’s. The balm also has a lovely satiny gloss to it. The sheerness of the product allows you to obtain a naturally flushed look on your lips. In comparison to Tom Ford’s newest lip balm, Afterglow boasts more color and glitter. The Mono Hydrating Complex and antioxidants in the formula keep lips supple and smooth. The full-size lip balm is packaged in a mirrored rose gold container. $28 is the usual retail price. (Purchase Now).
COMPARISON
When compared to each other, both lip balms feel the same on my lips. NARS’ lip balm has a more faint coconut scent than Tom Ford’s vanilla.

Lumière Lip gave my lips more peachy undertones, while NARS maintained them more pink and radiant. On the lips, however, the difference is nearly unnoticeable and varies from person to person depending on skin tone. As you can see in the photographs below, none of these lip balms has a lot of pigment, so don’t set your expectations up. The swatches below show how they compare to each other as well as other sheer lipsticks in my collection, such as the one shown.
Both of these lip balms should suit persons with all skin tones. Lumière Lip will bring out your natural undertones to create a customized lip color, whilst Afterglow Orgasm was created to be worn by everyone. In contrast, Lumière Lip contains jojoba oil, which is less irritating to the skin than coconut oil. I can’t say Afterglow is any worse, even though it has more brightness and a pleasant peachy pink tinge. The larger contrast between the two hues in real life contributes to the difficulty in making a decision.
- Shiseido PK304 Skyglow Lipstick ($25, Buy Now)
- NARS Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm comes in the hue “Orgasm.”
- Lumière Lip 01 ($54, Buy It Now) by Tom Ford. ($54, now available)
- Tom Ford Nina Sheer Lip Color ($36)
Both lip balms instantly moisturize and give my lips a gorgeous, healthy-looking gloss. Although you could argue that NARS is a better buy because the two products are so dissimilar in price, the truth is that you get almost equal results for a much lesser price. However, because Tom Ford creates a distinctive lip color, I believe this notion adds a lot of value to luxuriousLumière Lip.
