I used a powerful garden sprayer to make sure I used the same amount of paint on the windshield every time. Between each run, 35 cycles of depressurizing and repressurizing were performed. When it came time to paint, I went up and down, then side to side, in a cross-hatch technique to achieve the best coverage. After that, I compared the noise levels on a semi-dry windshield, because squeaking windshield wipers are the last thing you want to hear while driving in light rain. I started by removing around 80% of the water from the windshield with a squeegee. Instead of drying the glass after wiping it clean, I left the remaining 20% of the water on it.
