Beckham started the 2012 BCS National Championship Game as a freshman at LSU and received the Paul Hornung Award after his junior year in 2013. Odell Beckham Jr. had a record-breaking rookie season as a wide receiver for the New York Giants, despite missing the first four games of the season due to injury. Beckham made history as the first player in NFL history to have over 75 receiving yards, 1,100 yards, and ten touchdowns as a rookie. On Sunday Night Football, Beckham made a one-handed touchdown reception while falling backward against the Dallas Cowboys, which many analysts and players have referred to as the best catch ever made. He became the NFL’s fastest player to reach 200 receptions and 4,000 receiving yards for the first time in league history. Childhood
Beckham was born in the Louisiana city of Baton Rouge. He was a three-sport letterman in football, basketball, and track at Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans. He played wide receiver, quarterback, running back, and cornerback for the Greenies football team. As a junior, he had 45 catches for 743 yards and 10 touchdowns, as well as three additional touchdowns on the ground for a total of 15 touchdowns.
Cooper Manning and he are the only two athletes in school history with 50 receptions apiece to earn 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He also rushed for 331 yards and six touchdowns, passed for 90 yards and a touchdown, and returned punts for an average of 30.0 yards. 2021 Season
The 2021 season of the Los Angeles Rams is also available. Beckham scored his first career postseason touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card Game on January 17, 2022, while playing for the Rams. Beckham had nine catches for 113 yards in the Rams’ 20–17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game to help the team reach Super Bowl LVI. In the Super Bowl, Beckham’s 17-yard touchdown reception set the tone for the remainder of the game. Beckham, though, left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury and did not return. With a 23–20 victory for the Rams, Beckham would win his first Super Bowl.

Beckham Sr. has mentioned in Buzz Bissinger’s 1990 novel Friday Night Lights: A Town… Beckham’s mother, Heather Van Norman, was a track runner at Louisiana State University. In 1993, they won the indoor and outdoor 4 × 400-meter relays, as well as the outdoor 4 x 100-meter relays, while competing for three different national championship relay teams.
Van Norman was in the middle of training for the Olympics when she found out she was pregnant with Beckham in 1992. She went on to coach the Nicholls State University track and field team. Beckham and Lauren Wood are expecting their first child in November 2021.
In July of that year, Jayro Ponce, a nine-year-old cancer patient, contacted Beckham via social media. Jayro was a fan of Beckham’s, according to him. With him by his side, it was a pleasure to spend time together and raise awareness of the child’s plight. In September 2017, he donated $100,000 to Americares and Samaritan’s Purse to aid people affected by Hurricane Harvey, and the funds were used to help those in need. Later, he shared a link with the public to allow for donations to the cause from the broader public. Beckham helped collect money for the retailer’s aim of feeding the hungry in the United States in October 2018 with the support of ShopRite Partners in Caring and Crest.
