After Stiorra declined to submit to King Edward and rule York in his stead, Rognvaldr was left in charge of the city. Rognvaldr was observed making the most of his new position as a leader and requesting alcohol from his followers. When it comes to leadership, he’s known for his selfishness and disloyalty.
In the film Seven Kings Must Die, Stiorra may return to reclaim York from her brother-in-law. The more enemies Rognvaldr makes, the more likely it is that he will lose his allegiance. If the people of York believe he is an unfit leader, there could be a rebellion. There is little hope that he will do the right thing because he is motivated solely by his own self-interest.
