On February 9, 2022, it was reported that the winners of the 6th Crunchyroll Anime Awards were announced without a ceremony. Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 1 was named Anime of the Year.

Process: A panel of judges picks the final nominees through a two-round voting process. If a fan-favorite category is popular, it may be added or withdrawn depending on feedback from that fan. It is made clear days before the voting process begins. When the nominations are announced varies from edition to edition; the most recent edition did so on the first day. For a week, the public usually votes once every day in each category. The people who received the most votes in each category are the winners. The judges will cast 70 percent of the votes, while the public will cast the remaining 30 percent.

Odd Taxi and Wonder Egg Priority each had 11 nominations, but it didn’t mean they’d win the most awards. Odd Taxi won two games while Wonder Egg Priority did not win a single game. Jujutsu Kaisen took home several other awards in addition to Best Action and Best Fight.
