KitchenAid is iconic & Sought-after in Australia
For Lisa Ronson, Coles’ Chief Marketing Officer, this means providing customers with better value at the checkout and making high-end kitchen products more accessible to everyone in the country. KitchenAid is an iconic and sought-after brand in Australia, therefore Lisa remarked, ‘We are happy to work with such an iconic and sought-after brand like KitchenAid to reward our customers with something really special that they can only purchase at Coles.”
For the convenience of our consumers, we are again allowing them to redeem their points for half the cost of an item and pay the rest. Along with partnering with 37 well-known businesses to provide additional credits to make the program more accessible to shoppers who may not spend as much on a weekly basis, There are certain exclusions to the ovenware credit program, such as insurance and gift cards, so make sure you read the fine print. Otherwise, we’ll be out shopping for some of those gorgeous cookware pieces.
From the KitchenAid tiny cocotte ($26) up to the KitchenAid Cast Iron Casserole Pot ($200), KitchenAid Ovenware will be available for purchase in-store starting on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, while supplies last. Coles has recently launched a new line of ready-to-eat meals that can be purchased in-store and online. Customers can expect “genuine food, quick” from the “Coles Kitchen” meals, which aim to join the likes of Nature’s Kitchen and Coles Finest.
Chefs and Product Developers at Coles have tested, adjusted, and sampled every meal to ensure that it not only tastes fantastic but is filled with quality ingredients and nutrients,” Brad Cook, General Manager of Owen Brand, said in a statement. In order to promote a more nutritious and well-balanced diet, the Coles Kitchen line features meals with a health star rating of three or four, soups with up to three servings of veg, and meals with less salt. However, if we look past the marketing, how does the Coles Kitchen line fare nutritionally?? When it comes to nutrition, it’s important to look at the diversity of foods and how well they’re balanced.
What was the breadth of Coles Kitchen’s product line?
At the time of this writing, Coles Kitchen’s ready-to-heat selection includes 34 distinct meals. All kinds of cuisines from Italian to Asian to Australian are represented here. In addition to chicken tikka masala and spinach and risotto cannelloni, I also sampled cottage pie.
Soups start at around $3, and main dishes vary from $6.50 to $10.00 for a shared lunch. You’ll discover a few mains that are made for two, ranging in size from 400g to 600g, but most are single portions of 350g. Pilau rice, onion bhaji, and garlic nann are just a few of the side dishes available at Coles Kitchen. There appeared to be few vegetarian options in the Coles Kitchen product line. (https://www.genusinnovation.com) Because of this, they provide a number of vegan and vegetarian options under their Nature’s Kitchen brand.
How nutrient-dense were the Coles Kitchen meals?
It is Coles Kitchen’s tagline “real food fast,” and its packaging emphasizes the use of whole food items, especially veggies. As a dietitian, I usually check the ingredients and nutrient panel on the back of a product before relying on the marketing promises on the front. As a warning, the text is so small that you may need to use a magnifying glass to read it. Coles Kitchen meals don’t only contain “genuine food,” as the ingredients make abundantly evident. To be precise, you’ll find preservatives, natural flavors, and anti-caking agents. In my perspective, this is a poor beginning, and it hardly counts as entire, natural food.
In addition, there are a plethora of components! At least 39 additives, including three stabilizers, were found in one dish (415, 412, 407). Refined oils like Canola Oil are found in many Coles Kitchen recipes, as well. Inflammatory trans-fatty acids, which have been related to a wide range of health issues, are found in these oils. When compared to the regular Coles ready-made meals, there are beneficial modifications, such as the usage of RSPCA-approved chicken and beef that is hormone-free.
Are Coles Kitchen meals worth the money you pay for them?
With a price range of $3.50 to $7.50 per serving, the Coles Kitchen meals are an affordable solution for individuals who are short on time or simply don’t want to cook. Coles Kitchen’s menu is reasonably priced when compared to other meal delivery services, particularly those that operate online or via subscription. However, you must question the ingredients’ quality. Compared to some of the other meal suppliers I’ve examined, such as My Goodness Organics and even store offerings like Fitness Outcomes, Coles Kitchen does not measure up.
Overall, the Coles Kitchen meals have improved slightly, and they are a convenient and cost-effective supper alternative. I believe that most of these modifications are due to marketing rather than a meaningful shift in the nutritional composition.
What did you think of the dishes from Coles Kitchen?
Most Coles Kitchen meals may be prepared in the microwave or oven, and they are all fresh. All of the dishes our family sampled were delicious, and they all had the distinctive flavors and scents we associate with the food. Nothing was mushy, dry, or unappealing in the textures. A salad or a side of veggies is recommended by Coles Kitchen packaging, as previously stated. I agree that these should be included in the meal in order to improve the nutritional balance. My spouse, who also tried the 350-gram meals, agreed that the servings should be slightly larger.
