Laurie’s life is revealed in the fifth episode of season 2, which includes a mysterious locked room that is sure to pique viewers’ interest. Here’s everything you need to know about Laurie, her activities, and what she’s keeping hidden in the locked chamber. Ahead, you’ll find spoilers.

What’s her name?

The second season premiere, titled ‘Trying to Get to Heaven Before They Close the Door,’ features Laurie as the main character. She is a threat to Fezco, the man who killed Mouse because she is the main source of supply for him. Before things get out of hand, Fezco decides to meet with Laurie. They arrive at Laurie’s house to discuss the situation with Fezco, Ashtray, and Rue. Laurie is extremely careful and soft-spoken. She used to be a high school teacher who turned to drug dealing.

As revealed in the sixth episode of Season 2, she was an athlete in high school before becoming hooked on opioids due to an accident. Eventually, her addiction led her to a life of crime, even though she was a schoolteacher at the time. The series’ Laurie is played by Martha Kelly. A Los Angeles-based actress and comedian, she starred in the dark comedy series “Baskets.” Will & Grace, Corporate Animals, and Marriage Story are just a few of the films and television shows she has worked on in the past. As Zorya Utrennyya in ‘American Gods,’ some viewers may recognize Kelly.

What’s in the Room That’s Locked?

As shown in the third episode of season two, Rue shows up at Laurie’s door with a business proposition. Rue’s plan to sell $10,000 worth of narcotics for profit has impressed Laurie, so she agrees to put up the money. In the meantime, Rue begins to use the medicines herself. Leslie, Rue’s mother, discovers the drugs and takes them away from her daughter. As a result, Rue has no way of paying Laurie back. As part of her repayment plan, Rue breaks into the home of a complete stranger and steals jewelry and cash. She also begs for more painkillers. Sadly, Laurie is only willing to give her morphine.

Laurie tells Rue about her background during a talk, and the two form a connection. Laurie, on the other hand, takes advantage of the chance to drug Rue and hold her prisoner. Laurie had previously threatened Rue with sex trafficking, and it appears that the former teacher is keeping her word. One can catch a glimpse of Laurie’s house when Rue is speaking with her, which includes a room with a shut door from the outside. The locked door blocks Rue’s path to freedom.

In addition, it is implied that someone is trapped behind the door. However, there are no more hints as to who the individual is or what the room is used for. However, the presence of a closed door demonstrates Laurie’s dangerous nature. That someone is behind the barred door is likely to be someone who betrayed Laurie or failed to pay back the drug dealer, given Rue’s predicament. More information regarding Laurie and the hidden room may be disclosed in forthcoming episodes, and we can only hope.

‘Rue, What’s Your Purpose?’ During Euphoria Tonight, We Also Considered These Other Thoughts.

Everyone from Cassie and Nate to Maddy and Nate to Fez and Lexi to Jules and Elliot to Cal’s repressed issues has been served up by Euphoria in the previous several weeks. Tonight’s episode, on the other hand, was all about Rue and the misadventures she’s had to deal with.

As far as I’m concerned, things have gone from bad to worse at home. As Leslie, Rue’s mother has found, her daughter has relapsed into substance abuse. Awful: The suitcase hoard that Rue had been selling but is instead using herself has vanished. Rue has a sneaking suspicion that Gia has been spying on her. She taunts her younger sister and then goes after Leslie, accusing her of doing drugs because of her “poor parenting.” Jules, on the other hand, confessed the truth to Leslie.

Assisting the Victim

After her mother and Gia set up an intervention, Rue appears to have nothing left. Her body is suffering from the effects of drug withdrawal, but she also realizes that the bag containing Laurie’s supply has been stolen. After discovering this, she slams the door on the door, smashes the furniture, and hurls insults at her family. Afterward, when Rue confronts Gia for blowing Rue’s cover, her mother admits that Jules had actually called to inform her that Rue was using it once more.

Rue was having a breakdown in front of Jules and Elliot, and she slaps Elliot and tells Jules to never talk to her again while slapping him. Sadly, it appears that Rules will not be able to recover from this one. In order to complicate Rue’s case, they tell her that they flushed the supplies down the toilet. Rue is now enraged. Her withdrawal symptoms don’t help matters either. While frantically searching for her medicines, she is causing havoc by crashing tables and hurling objects around the room. When things get out of hand, her mother slaps her across the face and throws her out the door, which she then closes behind her.

Rue yells and kicks the door repeatedly until it opens in her desperation to learn where her medicines are. Leslie and Gia are both sobbing in unison by this point. Rue collapses on the floor, overcome with emotion and tears of regret. And we’re only five and a half minutes into the video. Zendaya’s performance as Rue is startling and painful to witness, but that’s only a credit to her commitment and unhindered approach to her character’s development. (Is there a third Emmy in the air?)

In what way was Morphine used by Laurie?

Rue is desperate at this point. Leaving the luggage at home, she heads over to Laurie’s and spills the beans on what’s transpired. Despite her lack of money, she offers the stolen jewels as a kind of payment. Rue is given morphine by Laurie to ease the pain of withdrawal. To treat pain that is too severe to be controlled by other pain drugs, morphine is commonly used. Laurie appears to have taken advantage of Rue by administering another dangerously addictive drug to alleviate her withdrawal symptoms and put her to sleep.

The Escape of Rue

Rue runs away from home as her mother drives her back to rehab. When she arrives at Fez’s house, she discovers he isn’t there, so she proceeds to Howard’s. In the restroom, Rue steals jewelry right in front of Lexi, Cassie, and Maddy. The plot intensifies as her mother appears just as she is about to leave. “One day at a time,” which is a famous adage in Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, was Cassie’s advice to Rue. When Rue notices this, she seizes the chance to devise a plan to flee. When she reveals that Cassie had sex with Nate after the New Year’s Eve party, Maddy becomes enraged and pursues Cassie. Rue makes a second escape and returns to Fez’s house, where he expels her without explanation.

Breaking and entering another house, she takes more jewels and is pursued by the police. “I knew you were going to be in my life for a very long time,” Laurie, who calls Rue by her full name, Ruby, tells Rue. “I knew you were going to be in my life.” This is a reference to her earlier words in which she said she would kidnap Rue and sell her body to recoup the money. After waking up in Laurie’s house, Rue finds herself trapped inside, but she manages to escape and meet her mother at the kitchen table.
