Despite collaborative efforts from the community and multiple law enforcement agencies, Vagnini and his black 2021 Ram 1500 with Ontario license plate BK 22178 remain unlocated, intensifying concerns.
To inquire about Vagnini’s location, the GSPS has set up a dedicated phone line at 705-675-9171 extension 2320, emphasizing the crucial role of community support. Immediate and actionable information should be reported to 9-1-1.
The GSPS and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are working together, evaluating the use of the OPP helicopter pending favorable weather conditions.
Aged 62, Vagnini is described as a white male, 5’11” tall, weighing 260 pounds, with short black hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a bright yellow hooded sweater, green trousers, and black running shoes. The passenger-side tail light of his vehicle is broken.
The search has focused on the area between Whitefish and Naughton along Regional Road 55 and McCharles Lake Road. Public and private parking lots are urged to be vigilant for any signs of Vagnini and his vehicle. Given his possession of necessary medication, concerns grow for his well-being, especially if he appears confused or disoriented.
Despite exhaustive search efforts by the GSPS, the Search and Rescue Team, and the Rural Community Response Unit in Walden, Lively, Naughton, and Whitefish, as of the latest update on Monday, no confirmed sightings of Vagnini or his vehicle have been reported.
