Too Faced Tutti Frutti Lip Glaze Review: I’m In Love With This New Too Faced Tutti Frutti Collection Item Choosing a lip gloss that is right for you can be tough. Depending on the formulation, a high-shine finish may sacrifice color payoff or leave a sticky aftertaste. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, Too Faced’s Tutti Frutti range has you covered with the Too Faced Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze ($20).
These formulations come in a staggering 12 colors if you’re looking for a lip stain that will appear as juicy on your lips as its name suggests and instantly amp up the splendor of your cosmetic look. One of the most exotic is Blue You Away, a rich blue color that will have you fantasizing about being an extraterrestrial alien. These lip lacquers are among the best in the Tutti Frutti collection, but they’re far from the only ones. Take a look at the many shades.
Review & Swatches of Too Faced Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze
The new Too Faced Tutti Frutti Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze ($20), which debuted with the Too Faced Tutti Fruit Collection for Fall 2018, comes in 12 different colors. Those who know me well know that I prefer glossy lips to matte liquid lipsticks, which is why the Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze formula is one of my favorites. These little guys mix lipstick-like color and gloss-like sheen in a non-tacky, non-sticky texture that nonetheless delivers adequate moisture and color.
Too Faced describes these as “full-coverage lipgloss with a candy gloss finish.” My assumption is that “sugar gloss finish” just means “shiny surface.” They’re fairly pigmented and, as previously stated, have a glossy finish. After only one application, the color payoff was dazzling and dramatic. The finish is metallic for the most part, but not nearly as shiny as a typical lipgloss. The thick, creamy texture spreads well on my dry lips, but it also enhances my natural lip line, depending on the color I used (Takes Two to Mango did fall into my natural lip lines whereas Home Slice had a smoother finish without falling into natural lip lines).
Do whatever you want, my sweetheart!
Too Faced Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze comes in a square barrel that carries 0.24 oz. The gold-plated top features watermelons, kiwis, and strawberries, which blend well with the collection’s general theme. You’ll have a lot of glitter on your lips when the color fades, but it did persist for five hours without migrating or feathering. Lip glosses aren’t exactly what they appear to be, and I’m not sure why they’re called that. The air is filled with wonderful, fruity perfume, making these a welcome addition to the Tutti Frutti collection.
However, despite the sweetness and fruitiness, the flavor didn’t appeal to me because it had a peculiar bitter perfume undertone. This lip gloss had an excellent consistency, delivered a lot of color with a hint of shine, lasted a long time, and felt hydrating overall. Too Faced Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze comes in 12 different colors, each of which has a metallic sheen finish with the pigmentation of lipstick. These were great because they had a creamy, easy-to-apply quality that didn’t make my lips feel crusty or sticky. Both of the colors I tried significantly highlighted my natural lip lines, however one had a smooth finish and the other had an uneven one.
Over the course of the five-hour wear time, there was no migration or feathering, although the color will transfer because this is not a long-wearing, waterproof product. It features cool blue and silver glitter throughout, making it the perfect pop of color on the lips, and is one of the most colorful colors in the Too Faced Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze collection. It was less comfortable to wear than other shades of the same formula because of its thicker consistency and slightly sticky texture. Because of its excellent pigmentation, the color spread evenly across my lips and didn’t exaggerate my lip creases. It delivered light hydration while worn and lasted for five and a half hours before needing to be refilled.
Razzle Dazzle Berry Eyeshadow Palette ($42 CAD for 5 g)
The Razzle Dazzle Berry Eyeshadow Palette is a seven-pan palette with a flap lip embellished with charming raspberries and packed in a well-made rectangular gold compact. The collection includes seven colors, two of which, “Berried Treasure” and “That’s My Jam,” are so rich and sweet that they feel like cream eyeshadows. You may create a wide range of appearances with just these colors, from frigid tones to warm ones. Finally, the formulation has a delicate berry aroma that adds to the appeal of the palette. If purples aren’t your thing, the Sparkling Pineapple Eyeshadow Pallet is a fresh green/gold/brown color palette.
Summer isn’t over yet, so there’s no reason to stop wearing bold and brilliant colors. Too Faced has released a fruit-inspired collection full of colorful and daring tones just in time for the end of summer. Aside from the Sweet Peach Palette, Ulta and Too Faced also feature the Tutti Frutti Collection, which expands on the fruit-themed beauty craze with a variety of products. I’d like to share a few of my favorites with you today. For the record, I’d want to thank you everyone for taking the time to read this far. Don’t be tricked by the appearance of the product. The Too Faced Tutti Frutti Collection is everything I expected and more. The cosmetics are worth the money, even if it reminds you of scratch and sniff stickers.
The Strobing Bronzer Highlighter Duo in Pineapple Paradise is a close second to the It’s Bananas Brightening Powder as one of the collection’s highlights. The brightening powder smooths out my under-eye area without leaving a cakey appearance or separating my concealer. When it comes to the bronzer/highlighter duo, you can customize your glow by using one shade for a softer glow and the other for a brighter one. They turn you into a radiant goddess when worn in multiples.
Too Faced’s Juicy Fruits Comfort Glaze ($24 CAD for 7 ml)
Is part of the Too Faced Tutti Frutti Collection:
The Juicy Fruits Comfort Lip Glaze, which comes in a variety of glittering tones, is a luxurious and nourishing lip gloss with an unexpected pop of color. The doe-foot applicator is slanted and tapered for a smudge-free finish and uniform application. “Totally Smashed” is a bright pink with pink and lavender shimmers that is opaque in one swipe and perfect for those looking for bold lip color. “Who Gives A Fig?” is a dark burgundy plum with hints of red, blue, and purple glitter. Despite its richness, this color is difficult to apply smoothly and is prone to smearing.
If you’re solely interested in the smells, keep in mind that not all of the products in this collection smell as powerfully as their label claims. I was pleased that the It’s Bananas Brightening Powder, for example, did not smell like bananas. Finally, I’m ecstatic with the collection and can’t wait to try it out.
