Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert Tickets: Tickets for Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts are now on sale. Following Taylor Hawkins’ death in March, the Foo Fighters and his family have planned tribute performances in London and Los Angeles for September. The London gigs will be on September 3 at Wembley Stadium, and the Los Angeles shows will be on September 27 at the Kia Forum.
“We consider every band member and the larger Foo Fighters team our family,” Taylor’s wife Alison Hawkins said in a statement to fans and the band. When asked by Variety who, if anyone, will play drums for the future shows, the band’s representative was unable to respond immediately. Hawkins died when the band was on tour in Colombia, and no cause of death or funeral arrangements have been made as of March 25.

Taylor’s passing on March 25 was tragically grieved by millions, who heard emotional and true tributes from fans and performers he admired. At one point, the partying got a little out of hand.
Hawkins has an issue with stage fright
Hawkins remarked in a Rolling Stone magazine interview in June 2021 when asked about his health: “I am in good health. Thank you, I’m ok. Sinus infections are a common occurrence in my life. As a result, my doctor just told me that he had just finished all of my blood and cardiac tests, and he shouted, “Dude, you’re in fantastic shape.” Your heart has increased in size as a result of your intense workout. It reminds me of a runner’s heart.’ That’s fine as well. I’m guessing you have restless leg syndrome, but that’s about all. My wife also alleges that you snore and make other weird noises while sleeping.” In his biography The Storyteller, published in 2021, Dave Grohl described Hawkins as “my brother from another mother, my dearest comrade, a man for whom I would take a bullet.”
Death
A memorial was created outside the Four Seasons Casa Medina hotel in Bogota two days following Hawkins’ death. Hawkins was brought to the Four Seasons Casa Medina hotel in Bogotá, Colombia, by emergency personnel on March 25, 2022, because he was feeling chest problems in his room. When medical personnel discovered Hawkins unconscious, he was pronounced dead on the spot at the age of 50. The reason for death was not mentioned. Following Hawkins’ death, toxicology testing in Colombia indicated the presence of ten substances, including opiates, anti-anxiety medication benzodiazepines, and tricyclic antidepressants like Lexapro.
Tributes
Hawkins died on March 25. According to the band’s Twitter statement, his “musical passion and contagious joy will live on with all of us forever.” On March 29, the band’s upcoming shows were all canceled. He was scheduled to perform with the Foo Fighters at Bogota’s Estéreo Picnic Festival the night before his death as part of their ongoing South American tour when he died. Hawkins’ legacy was honored with candlelight vigils on the festival stage. Miley Cyrus dedicated her Lollapalooza performance in Brazil to Hawkins, with whom she collaborated on her upcoming album Plastic Hearts.
Liam Gallagher dedicated his song “Live Forever” to Hawkins as part of his Teenage Cancer Trust benefit event in London, calling him his “brother” and “a frickin’ pleasure.” Elton John sang “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” in honor of Hawkins, who he had previously worked with on his album The Lockdown Sessions. Hawkins’ investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle was attended by Queen drummer Roger Taylor, who paid tribute to the man who had mentored his own son Rufus, calling him “sunshine in human form.”
