Sunil dharod daughter: Both of the brothers have found love and settled down. Sunil’s eldest son, Chris Dharod, is in charge of the Applebee’s locations, while his daughter, Puja, serves on the board of directors for the family business. Both of them desire to maintain a high level of privacy. In addition to owning Restaurant Franchises in the United States, Harshad Dharod and his brother Sunil Dharod also own thousands of residences.

The couple’s amazing rise from modest origins in India to the creation of a restaurant empire in the United States is an inspiration to all. The Dharod family is predicted to have a net worth of $80 million by the year 2021. The Puja Foundation, founded by the daughter of Apple Texas Restaurants’ CEO, is a non-profit organization that provides financial support to Applebee’s employees in times of need. Puja Dharod is the polar opposite of today’s adolescents. She has no desire to play video games or spend hours in front of the television.

Puja prefers to volunteer at an assisted care facility or assist her father with his business in her spare time. She enjoys spending time with her parents, adores her elder brother, and would rather play golf than go shopping. She is not a rebel. It’s no surprise, then, that the outgoing high school senior is also the executive director of the Puja Foundation, a non-profit she founded to assist individuals in times of need. The charity specifically helps employees of her father’s firm, Apple Texas Restaurants, Inc., which owns and maintains multiple Applebee franchise locations throughout northern Texas.

Inspiration behind her name-brand foundation

“Everyone has challenges in life, and some people are better at dealing with them than others,” Puja adds, explaining the inspiration behind her name-brand foundation. During her summer vacations, she worked at Applebee’s restaurants and got to know a few of the staff. She noticed that many of them had limited options in the event of an emergency. “My father has always insisted that we look after the people that work for us, so I figured, why not start a foundation to do that?” Puja adds.

The Puja Foundation has already aided ten people since its inception. Their accounts are heartbreaking: A fire destroyed the home of one of the employees. Another had to miss work while in the hospital and was unable to pay her payments. One of her coworkers discovered that she had fled a violently abusive relationship and was sleeping in the back of a pickup vehicle with her daughter as they waited for an opening at a nearby women’s shelter. A manager will frequently make a grant proposal on behalf of an associate.

Because financial aid is frequently required, requests are usually considered by Puja and a five-member board via conference call within 24 hours, and cheques are given out the next day. “It’s a great duty to analyze a person’s problem and know you hold the key to helping someone,” says Cheryl Green, Director of Human Resource at Apple Texas Restaurants and a member of the review board. (Alprazolam) “But being able to aid someone in need is also a blessing,” she says. Green claims that in order to help someone, you must also care about them.

As a result, Apple Texas Restaurants seeks to cultivate long-term connections with its employees and make them feel like family. Sunil Dharod, Puja’s father, is a hands-on owner who visits each store, speaks with the staff, and orders from the menu. Her mother is the Puja Foundation’s director. Puja began working at Apple’s Texas headquarters as a young girl, organizing files and answering phones while watching her father at work. She worked every summer at the office and subsequently at numerous restaurants as she grew older.

Puja gained job experience last summer in order to gain a deeper understanding of the franchise’s operations. During this period, she witnessed the devastating impact that an unexpected disaster may have on an associate’s life, and how they frequently have nowhere to turn. She learned about the Heidi Foundation Inc., a private non-profit that helps individuals in need, and she wanted to do the same at her family’s business. She suggested the idea to her parents when she was 16, and the wheels started turning. “We named it the Puja Foundation,” she explains, “since my name means prayer.”

The Puja Foundation’s mission

The Puja Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps Apple Texas Restaurants, Inc. employees who are facing financial hardship as a result of a traumatic life tragedy. During her summer vacations, Puja Dharod worked in the family company with her father, Sunil Dharod, and witnessed a number of sad incidents, ranging from medical concerns to home fires to the untimely loss of a close family member. These events inspired her to start The Puja Foundation, which aims to enable associates to assist their coworkers in times of need.

It was while the two boys were quite little that their father went away, leaving their mother to care for them. As a result of the death of the family’s primary breadwinner, the brothers faced significant financial difficulty in order to survive. The brothers would go door to door selling milk after collecting up eight bottles of milk by taking the train to their destination. Sunil and Harshad had to undertake a variety of different odd chores during those early years while the other youngsters were occupied with their own activities.

Footsteps of their Mother’s Work Ethic

It was there that they worked extremely hard, following in the footsteps of their mother’s work ethic, stating that it was typical for them to work 16 hours a day. They needed to work numerous jobs in order to make ends meet. Sunil went to trade school, following which he began working as a mechanic, earning $100,000 a year in earnings after graduation. He was able to earn this amount because he received a basic income of around $60,000 and earned an additional $40,000 by working overtime and on weekends in addition to his base salary.

Harshad, on the other hand, had aspirations of becoming a doctor but was originally employed as a waiter at a restaurant. Every time he informed the company’s owner that he intended to quit in order to further his education, he was given a raise or promotion. Over time, they rose to the position of Restaurant Supervisor for the whole establishment. Both of them began saving money and making investments in order to purchase their own restaurant franchises. Sunil purchased a Jack in the Box unit when visiting Los Angeles. Over the years, he acquired a large number of additional franchises.

By way of his firm, SSCP Management, Sunil manages the many businesses that have evolved into 70 Applebee’s, 47 Sonic Drive-Ins, and Roy’s locations today. Harshad, on the other hand, has maintained his business activities in the restaurant industry as well as in the purchase of residential buildings, where he currently employs more than 4000 people. The Dharod family is predicted to have a net worth of $80 million by the year 2021. Both of them have maintained the work ethic that they showed while they were selling milk in the Indian countryside.
