Stage Name Of Singer/Songwriter Elliot Gleave: Example (born 20 June 1982) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer who goes by the stage name Elliot John Gleave. His initials, E.G., are an acronym of the Latin word exempli gratia, which means “full gratitude”. Won’t Go Quietly, Example’s second Studio album debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart and at number one on the UK Dance Chart.

Early Years
Elaine (Johnston) and Michael Gleave gave birth to Elliot John Gleave on June 20, 1982, at West London Hospital in Hammersmith. Example filmed an 18-minute documentary in the ghost towns he visited while filming a promo video for his single “What We Made” in the abandoned city of Prypiat in northern Ukraine.
