Fans of the ITV show lambasted the judgment on social media, calling it a ‘fix,’ feeling that operatic singer Charlotte should have won. ‘Wtf????’ screamed one puzzled onlooker. Panda has an awful voice. It’s a workaround. ‘Mushroom got robbed!!!’ wrote one Twitter user, while another said, ‘#MaskedSingerUK.
‘ What a situation!!! ‘ #MaskedSingerUK’ is a hashtag for a masked singer in the United ‘Well, that’s me changing the TV now!’ muttered another spectator. Your audience wants to see the incredible b**locks that panda won vs Robo bunny and mushroom!!! Clearly, there is a solution! What a waste of a night!! #MaskedSingerUK.’
Panda is a Better Vocalist Than Robbobunny
‘It’s beyond me how anyone in the audience thinks Panda is a better vocalist than Robbobunny or Mushroom.’ The mushroom has been absolutely plundered. There has to be a solution. #MaskedSingerUK,’ someone else pondered. What a bl**dy fix, Masked Singer!! The mushroom didn’t win, can you believe it? Who is voting for real? ‘#MaskedSingerUK,’ another inquired. ‘The Masked Singer winner is selected by the studio audience,’ an ITV spokeswoman informed MailOnline when contacted by MailOnline. Natalie delighted judges Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, and Joss Stone on Saturday night as she sang a duet with comic Jason Manford.
Panda, Mushroom, and Robobunny competed in this year’s final to be crowned the 2022 winner after defeating nine other unique animals. ‘I simply liked being Panda!’ Natalie stated after the unveiling. To disguise it, I spoke in an American accent the entire time! ‘I was expecting Rita and Davina would figure it out because they knew me! A Mushroom and a Robobunny became my companions. It’s been great.’ Natalie said why she opted to participate in the series in an interview following the broadcast, saying, ‘I did it for my son.’ He’s a big fan of the character I chose.
‘I also thought it would be fun to sing while wearing a mask, as it would avoid the need for hours of hair and make-up.’ I enjoyed the thought of concealing my identity and faking an accent to trick people. ‘I suppose it’s also a part-time acting gig.’ ‘I found it quite challenging as I’m a really open person,’ she stated when asked if keeping it all a secret was difficult. So I had to make up some exciting white lies about what I was working on and avoid people, which wasn’t tough given how long we worked.’
Natalie went on to explain that she was scared during the competition and that she couldn’t recollect the first two performances. ‘I expected the mask to increase my confidence, but it took some getting accustomed to. It’s shocking at first that your voice is booming back at you. By the third presentation, I was utterly hooked. ‘ I felt better about eating all the food in the dressing room because you sweat a lot, too.’
Why She Accepts the Mission in her last Interview
Charlotte, 35, explained why she accepted the mission in her last interview, saying: ‘I accepted the challenge because I liked the thought of the program being totally focused on the voice, and I haven’t performed in public for quite some time now, so it felt like the perfect chance.’ ‘I also really wanted to make my own costume because I thought it would be a lot of fun, and it was.’ ‘It’s REALLY hard to keep the secret!’ she said on the issue of keeping secrets. I’ve even had to deceive my mother.
‘I’m looking forward to the big revelation; I feel the mass of my friends and family will be startled, given I don’t do much in the public eye anymore and am a pretty private person.’ As a result, everyone will be startled.’ Meanwhile, Mark stated why he opted to join the program, adding, “I was yearning to do something different, outside of my comfort zone vocally, and I really wanted to bring humor to my character, so when it was agreed that I would be authorized to do the two-voice thing, I signed up.” ‘For me, when I saw Robobunny, I immediately came up with the thought that the rabbit might duet with the robot and there might be two separate personalities, which got me so thrilled…’ he continued.
‘I only wanted to do it if I could do something different from what had already been done, and the feedback on Robobunny being unique and a first has been fairly encouraging.’ Robobunny opened the evening with Snow Patrol’s Run, with the judges admiring the voice and speculating that it might be Ronan Keating or Charlie Simpson. Panda was the next act to perform, performing Taylor Swift’s classic Blank Space, and Rita and Davina thought that it could have been Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical.
Excellent Performance in last Minutes
The mushroom was the last performer on stage, and he astonished the judges with an opera number. It may be Charlotte Church or Sheridan Smith, they speculated. Former members of The Masked Singer joined the three as they performed show-stopping duets as well as solo numbers. Nicola Roberts aka Queen Bee, the first Masked Singer UK champion, returned to the stage to perform alongside Robobunny throughout the show. They sang Aretha Franklin and George Michael’s classic duet I Knew You Were Waiting for Me.
Jason Manford, who played Hedgehog in the first series, returned to perform It Takes Two with Panda. While series two’s Robin, alias Aston Merrygold, had an explosive comeback as he duetted with Mushroom. They say Rihanna’s dance hit We Found Love. Meanwhile, also making a triumphant return was last year’s champion Joss Stone (Sausage), who this time switched the stage for the judging panel as she joined Davina, Mo, Rita, and Jonathan in trying to figure out the last three celebs. The You Had Me hitmaker, 34, looked spectacular in a shimmering silver jumpsuit as she joined in with the festivities of the performance.
Other guests included during the third series included Dame Joan Collins and Olly Alexander. Throughout this year’s series, the celebrity sleuths and spectators alike have been captivated by a myriad of brilliant performances, while being equally baffled as they sought to guess who was behind the masks. The first victim of this year’s event was M People singer Heather Small, who was the first celebrity to be voted off after being presented as unveiled Chandelier.
