Live Kelly and Ryan Deals: For the 33rd season, ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ returns to its New York studio. The 33rd season of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” has returned to its New York City studio. Despite the difficulties of streaming a show remotely from home during the epidemic, the “Live” team continued to amuse listeners through video chat from several places.
The new season premiered on Monday, September 7, and hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest went outside to kick things off with “Live’s Labor Day Cookout,” a special holiday broadcast. Guests Hilary Swank and Brett Eldredge performed in the backyard, and Ripa, Seacrest, and executive producer Michael Gelman shared their favorite recipes for an excellent Labor Day barbecue. Ripa and Seacrest were ultimately reunited in the “Live” studio on Tuesday, September 8, but without an audience. With its return “home” to the New York studio, “Live” will devote the first month of the new season to “Live @Home,” a four-week series that will feature a variety of “at home” how-tos and tips for viewers.
Actor John Leguizamo, new “Dancing with the Stars” host and executive producer Tyra Banks, actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba, late-night host and host of the upcoming primetime Emmy Awards Jimmy Kimmel, actress Lauren Cohan, TV personality and businesswoman Bethenny Frankel, and acclaimed singer Josh Groban are among the additional celebrity guests scheduled for September. The latest iteration of “Live’s” popular daily trivia game will debut in the new season, as will the return of “Live’s” trivia dancers.
“Live @ Home Trivia”
“Live @ Home Trivia” fits in with the overall idea of the new season’s premiere, with Ripa and Seacrest displaying dancers from throughout the country strutting their thing from the comfort of their own homes, and fans at home answering daily show-themed trivia questions for a chance to win prizes. Disney Media Networks distributes “Live with Kelly and Ryan” in nationwide syndication. WABC-TV in New York produces the show, which is executive produced by Michael Gelman, Kelly Ripa, and Ryan Seacrest.
