Leila Abdallah Baby: Following a tragedy, the Abdallah family welcomed a new baby. Following the devastating deaths of three of their children, the Abdallah family has received some excellent news. A baby has been born to a couple whose three children were slain along with their cousin by a drug-addled driver in Sydney. On Friday, Leila and Danny Abdallah announced the birth of their baby on Instagram, stating that she arrived at 7.40 a.m.
Ms Abdallah wrote on Facebook, “The Abdallah family is happy to announce the birth of our seventh child into our family.” “She weighs 3.3 kilogrammes and stands 51 centimetres tall. Our little girl is doing fine. “In heaven, Anthony, Angelina, Sienna, Liana, Alex, and Micheal are with us. “Our prayers have been answered by God.” “Blessed be the name of the Lord, who both gives and takes.” Many people have expressed their congrats and well wishes in the comments section of the post. “Congratulations. This is a true blessing. “May God continues to bless your lovely family,” one user said.
“Congratulations to you all,” another person said. Your infant will be watched over by special angels. “May God continue to bless you all.” When Samuel Davidson killed Antony, 13, Angelina, 12, and eight-year-old Sienna Sakr in 2020, they were all with their cousin Veronique Sakr, 11. When Davidson’s automobile mounted the footpath near Oatlands Golf Club in Sydney’s west and fatally struck the youngsters, they were on their way to get ice cream. Despite her deep sorrow, Ms Abdallah said that she had forgiven Davidson at the time. The family then attempted but failed, to establish a tiny memorial garden at the golf club.
Behind the Incident
Plans to reconstruct a portion of the club with 193 senior flats, a double-storey clubhouse, restaurant, and cafe gained traction this week when a step in the proposal process was authorised by the Sydney Central City Planning Panel. The family is now in talks with the City of Parramatta about erecting a memorial along Bettington Rd. In February of last year, the Abdallah children Antony, Angelina, and Sienna, as well as their cousin Veronique Sakr, were on their way to get ice cream when a car crashed into the sidewalk near Oatlands Golf Club, killing them all.
Mrs Abdallah and her husband Danny set an example for others when they forgave the driver who killed their daughters and niece. Mrs Abdallah announced her happy news on Instagram on Wednesday night. With two praying hands emojis, the 37-year-old wrote, “God blessed us with a gift from above.” The newest addition to the family, according to Mrs Abdallah, signifies optimism in the face of tragedy. “We dare to dream once more,” she declared. “My children wished to have another brother or sister.” “For the youngsters, this is a new life, a new starting; it has given them a new purpose in life.”
And seeing them happy and bringing them joy is now my life’s mission. “We don’t want to be the ones who drag them down.” We want them to marry, prosper, live complete lives, and dream once more. That’s exactly what this new baby entails.” On Thursday morning, she also shared a series of images with her children on Facebook. “Liana, my princess and inspiration. She captioned one photo, “I love you so much.” “You’ll be an incredible big sister.” Her two boys, Michael and Alex, were also commended. Mrs Abdallah stated, “Michael prayed and asked Jesus to give him a baby, and God has answered his requests.”

My love, may God continue to bless you.” The favourable news comes just over two weeks after the Abdallah family was struck another setback in their campaign for a memorial garden at the golf course where Antony, Angelina, Sienna, and Veronique were murdered. For months, Mr and Mrs Abdallah have fought for a memorial garden at the golf club. Two monument ideas were rejected due to their size and scale, and discussions over a memorial concept came to an end in July.
The family was unsure whether or not development was in the cards. The golf club is now proposing to develop 193 apartments on the land, 200 metres distant from where the family wants the memorial. “I’m astonished, horrified, and unhappy,” Danny told 7NEWS. “I believe that is why they did not want the memorial.” The move, according to local MP Geoff Lee, displayed the golf club’s “cold-heartedness.” Prime Minister Scott Morrison has also expressed his displeasure with the proposed development, stating he is “extremely troubled” by the news.
Mr Morrison stated, “I certainly hope that a fair resolution can be attained here for them.” “I believe their straightforward, honest, and sincere plea to be able to memorialise their children who were taken from them… is absolutely appropriate.” Mr Morrison also stated that he had discussed the matter with NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet. “I know (he) is working with them to hopefully achieve something nice here,” he said. On Monday afternoon, NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns spoke out about the situation, imploring the club to “show some compassion” for the family who had handled the situation with grace and determination.

Since the accident, the family has been vocal advocates for road safety, working with the NSW government to enact harsher punishments for drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. They’ve also created I 4give Day, an annual event commemorating the crash that encourages others to forgive and assist individuals who have been affected by the tragedy. “On February 1st, I just want to encourage people to pause, reflect, think, and reassess their lives,” Leila remarked.
“Reach out if they’re having troubles with someone in their lives.” Leila expressed her conflicting emotions ahead of the one-year anniversary of the disaster. “I’m heartbroken because I miss my children so much,” she expressed her sorrow. “Knowing they are in heaven gives me peace.” “I’m grateful that we were able to transform February 1st into I 4give Day.” Mr Minns stated, “Some things are more important than money, and this is one of them.” “I’m praying that common sense to win out and the golf course is rerouted.” On Monday, the golf club declined to comment on the matter, but members will vote on whether the development proposal should go through on December 8.

The news of the children’s deaths sent shockwaves throughout Australia at the time of the tragedy, with the effect felt most strongly in Sydney’s Lebanese population. Many people were moved by Leila and Danny’s courage. “I’m blown away by the outpouring of support,” Leila added. “Everywhere I go, people come up to me and tell me how the deaths have affected them. “People can relate to what happened to us.” They have the ability to communicate with us.
“It makes us happy to hear how much the faith has touched people and how positively it has affected them.” On Friday, a memorial ceremony for the Abdallah siblings was held, followed by a service for Veronique on Saturday. In October, Samuel William Davidson, 30, was charged with manslaughter in connection with the deaths of four children. In March, he will be sentenced.
