Early years
As of 2 March 1988 he was born to an English mother and a Scottish father. Arthur revealed via Twitter in July 2020 that he had begun work on a new studio album, his fourth overall “I’ve been playing around with a new lane for the last few months, and I couldn’t be more excited to share with you this new lane I’m playing around in, I think you’ll be surprised in a good way.” For a long time, I’ve dreamed of recording this album.” Sigala’s upcoming single “Lasting Lover,” featuring Arthur’s vocals, is set for release on September 4th, 2020.
A press release on 15 February 2021 stated that Arthur had signed a deal with Columbia Records UK and Columbia Records Germany in a joint deal, the last of which Arthur worked for since Back from the Edge. According to the same press release, his fourth studio album, due in 2021, will feature a lead single due out in March of that year. A specific genre or lane that Arthur was looking to pursue was “mixing rock, guitar-based stuff with trap, hip-hop, and pop,” as he explained to Music Week.
