Fred sirieix daughter: After his daughter, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics for the first time, First Dates actor Fred Sirieix congratulated her on her achievement. Spendolini-Sirieix, who is just 16 years old, is the youngest member of Team GB’s diving squad. She competed in the preliminary heats of the 10m platform diving event on Wednesday (4 August) morning, which took place in the wee hours of the morning.
GB’s youngest diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix is in Tokyo preparing for the Olympic Games to begin, but the 16-year-famous old’s father Fred is anxiously awaiting the start of the competition at his home in South London. Fred Sirieix, the matter d’ who is best known for Channel 4’s fly-on-the-wall First Dates, among other television shows, has spent years accompanying his daughter to diving contests across the world, including in the United States. However, the epidemic has prevented him from accompanying her this time, and he will instead be watching her participate in the 10m platform event from the comfort of his own home.
In his words, “we’ve traveled all over the world, from Singapore to Canada to Turkey.” The fact that I was unable to travel this year caused me to reflect on the fact that seeing her compete in the Diving World Cup in Tokyo in May of this year was the most nerve-wracking experience I’ve ever had when watching someone dive. When you are present, you feel more a part of it; but, when you watch on television, you feel utterly helpless as a parent, which is really difficult. It’s possible to be detached enough to appreciate football or a 100-meter dash, but watching my daughter compete in an event like the Olympics will be like having a physical experience outside of one’s body.
Awarded BBC Young Sports Personality
Whether to sit down, stand up, or turn around will be a mystery to me.” Andrea’s younger brother, Lucien, was awarded BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2020, and she returned home from the European Aquatics Championships in Budapest with a silver medal this year. Andrea has a younger brother named Lucien.
“I am overjoyed that she has been picked for the Olympic team, and I am extremely, extremely, extremely proud,” adds Fred, who had Andrea and Lucien with his former girlfriend. “She is living her dream; it is what she has wanted to do from the day she first learned to scuba dive. No words can express how dedicated and determined she has been, or how many sacrifices she has made on my behalf. When she first started diving, it became immediately clear that she was talented, but it is one thing to be talented and quite another to go the distance.”
Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and her father, Fred Sirieix, were reunited at the airport on Friday, and the reunion was captured on camera by Fred Sirieix. Following her seventh-place finish in the Women’s 10m platform diving final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Thursday, the father and daughter reunited in her hometown. It was Andrea who he was picking up, he informed his Instagram followers, adding that ‘the champ is back!.’
