Fenty Perfume Review: Floral scents pervade the air in Rihanna’s daughter Fenty’s perfume, Feminine Chypre. This is the name of a brand-new smell that was just released. The Fenty beauty brand was first launched to the public twenty-one years ago, in 2021. The perfumer behind this smell is Jacques Cavallier. The top notes include blueberry, tangerine, Bulgarian Rose, Geranium, and Magnolia, while the base notes are musk and patchouli.

Rihanna’s Fenty Perfume Just Launched, and It’s Flawless – Of Course

For all time, the mystery of Rihanna’s perfume remains unsolved. From Lil Nas X to Jennifer Lawrence to Ryan Seacrest, everyone agrees that the multihyphenate is the undisputed best-smelling figure in Hollywood. There has been a lot of speculation and gossip about her signature scent, but she has yet to offer us a firm response. We knew it would be a smashing success when Fenty Beauty announced the introduction of its first-ever Eau de Parfum on August 10th, based on past Fenty launches.

A game-changing sensation with the potential to forever alter the beauty industry as we know it is about to be unleashed on the globe. (A little exaggeration?) Is that correct? We were able to get our hands on Rihanna’s long-awaited perfume ahead of its formal release, after months of speculation about what it smells like and whether it’s indeed that amazing. As a result of Rihanna’s hand-picked notes, the perfume “captures the rich, vibrant, and sensual essence of its creator,” according to the company. “Despite the fact that I have a large staff, I don’t believe their tone matches mine.

The Origins of the Scent’s Name

Rihanna’s Fenty brand is significantly more than just another celebrity endorsement deal. Makeup, skincare, and ready-to-wear are just a few of the products developed by the beauty tycoon throughout the years. Indeed, Rihanna recently admitted in an interview with British Vogue that she has complete control over all Fenty Beauty products, from product development to marketing copy. “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes I write all of the website content, including product descriptions, names, and color names “she explained.

Rihanna was the driving force behind the fragrance’s conception, and she collaborated closely with LVMH master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud throughout the process, so it’s no surprise. During a news conference, he said, “It was probably one of the best trips of my career.” “We spent five hours the first time we met looking over a range of flowery, fruity, amber, and woody scents, and I thought she’d enjoy knowing about her past. ” The Fenty Eau de Parfum, like the Fenty Beauty and Skin collections, is inspired by Rihanna’s favorite memories and places, including her hometown of Barbados, Grasse, France; New York City, Paris; and Los Angeles.

The Aromatic Notes

Everything about it is a little bit of everything, ranging from fruity, floral, and spicy all at the same time, much like the vocalist. For example, when I sprinkle the insides of my wrists, I immediately detect creamy vanilla notes, their warm, familiar perfume compelling me to inhale for a few seconds longer than usual. The delicate notes of tangerine and blueberry are immediately noticeable in their delightful perfume, a clear testament to her island heritage. This may appear to be an overly sweet description of a luxury smell, but trust us when we say it isn’t.

What kind of Scent does that Emit?

This is the scent for those who like their perfumes to smell like a delicate bouquet of magnolia, geranium (a flower that both Rihanna and Belletrud fell in love with while wandering through the Grasse gardens), Bulgarian rose absolute, patchouli, and musk. It’s called “love elixir” by Belletrud, but whatever it is, it’s hard to pin down. There are layers upon layers of aroma in this product. As soon as you think you’ve figured it out, a new depth of its composition is exposed, and it draws you in even more to take another sniff.

“That’s the thing I love the most,” Rihanna exclaims. “It’s a perfume that encapsulates a certain moment in time. This has a scent that you’ll never forget.” The rose-centered Fenty perfume smells confidently narrow for a luxury brand. If it wasn’t Rihanna’s, I’m interested in how people would react. Fenty Beauty is not just a well-known brand, but it is also a fantastic product. You won’t be able to identify a rose from a rose in Fenty since everything is neon bright and thrilling. Even if you don’t use too much of it, the perfume has a synthetic, acidic quality to it.

The rose touched me a few days later, revealing its silkiness as well as its delicate acidic, jelly flavor. You can taste the citrus in every bite since it’s so juicy and tasty. The rose is preceded by geranium and strong bright citruses. To begin, the citrus notes stand out from the rest of the scent, as though they don’t want to be blended. The citrus smells metallic and harsh, similar to canned pineapple. Sweet and abrasive. It’s fun to watch the contrast between roses and citruses. Despite its small size, it had a very personal feel to it.

The Bottle’s Form

Rihanna’s considerable experience in the fashion and design industries, including her work for Puma and her own LVMH-backed label, it should come as no surprise that she gave the bottle a lot of attention. Belletrud claims she spent over an hour and a half going over the team’s more than 100 concepts when they met in London recently. Her final selection was an amber brown glass bottle with a translucent cover that she claims fits perfectly in her palm.

“I wanted a deep color that genuinely reflected both genders from across all walks of life,” she adds in a news statement. “Brown is the nicest color for me. My skin tone is brown, and I’m proud of it. Brown is the color of my forefathers and mothers. If I’m going to develop a fragrance that represents me, even the bottle’s body language has to fit my personality. I chose a brown, clear jar because you’ll be breathing the smell and seeing the liquid.”

Finally, a decision is reached

In the beauty industry, celebrity scents are notoriously difficult to perfect. Perfumes featuring the names of early-aughts pop princesses are likely to be recalled by anyone who was of perfume-spraying age at the time—some more effectively than others. Rihanna proves that she isn’t one to follow the crowd with Fenty’s Eau de Parfum. To begin with, nothing about this perfume is conventional or anticipated. It’s delicate and romantic, warm and familiar, sweet and uplifting, spicy and sensuous, and completely genderless all at once, displaying a level of depth rarely found in celebrity-endorsed products.

Rihanna’s Fenty Eau de Parfum, on the other hand, allows her to exhibit all sides of her personality without ever becoming the center of attention. When I spritz it on the inside of my wrists, I don’t get the sensation that I smell like Rihanna, despite the fact that she invented it. It feels like a part of me, more discreetly and personally.
