Erin Hebblewhite Teacher: A teacher cried as she was sentenced to two years in prison today after confessing to having sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl. According to the Associated Press, Erin Hebblewhite, 29, groomed the student, who had never kissed or had sex before, and shot graphic photographs of them nude in bed together. The Sports Teacher of the Year candidate had her first sexual encounter with the girl in the restroom of a restaurant where she had taken her for Valentine’s Day dinner.
She also attempted to coerce the student into sleeping with her at Primark while on a shopping excursion, but the student declined. After her relationship with her boyfriend ended, Hebblewhite began inviting the girl to her house in East London on a daily basis, where they would have sex. When the teen’s relatives took her phone because they were worried about changes in her behavior, the “intense and passionate” connection was revealed. They discovered communications from Hebblewhite and quickly informed the authorities.
When the teacher was sentenced to two years in prison at Snaresbrook Crown Court after pleading guilty to four offenses of sexual behavior with a minor, she sobbed in her cell. Hebblewhite was also found guilty of engaging in sexual behavior in the presence of a minor and of two counts of making indecent images of children.
