Elden Ring Patch Notes Update: Patch notes for Elden Ring 1.03: Balance tweaks, new NPC features, and more. Elden Ring version 1.03 has been released across all platforms by Bandai Namco, and it adds new NPC-related features, rebalances various equipment, and fixes over a dozen issues. After a two-week hiatus, the Elden Ring 1.03 patch has arrived, bringing with it a slew of new features and enhancements.
Thanks to a new feature that saves NPC positions on the map, questlines should be easier to track than ever before. In addition, certain characters have additional phases in their journeys. Furthermore, the Elden Ring update 1.03 update addresses a variety of gameplay bugs while also improving overall performance. Furthermore, a large number of weapons, armor sets, and sorceries have all been rebalanced. A variety of NPC modifications are the highlight of the new Elden Ring 1.03 release. First and foremost, an entirely new function has been added that allows you to label an NPC on your map in far greater detail than previously.
The names of new characters will now be recorded on the map to assist you to recall where specific NPCs are situated. Diallo, Nepheli Loux, Kenneth Haight, and Gatekeeper Gostoc are just a few of the NPCs who have “new quest stages” to look out for. This should make progressing through Elden Ring’s separate narratives a lot easier. Fans of the always-entertaining Mimic’s Veil item will be pleased to learn that this update also increased the variety of objects that can be imitated.
Changes to the balance in version 1.03
One of the first big balancing modifications in Elden Ring came with the 1.03 release. Everything has been altered to some degree, from key Ashes of War to diverse Spirit Summons. The Mimic Tear Spirit Ash, which generates an exact clone of your character to aid you in the fight, has been nerfed, maybe most notably. Other AI summons could soon emerge to the top of Elden Ring’s meta, thanks to “reduced damage” and a shift in behavior.
Patch notes for the Elden Ring release 1.03
Elden Ring’s big 1.03 update contains more verified changes and more content than many users expected to see in the patch notes, but it’s the update’s hidden (or “secret”) changes that are now receiving a lot of 3s. While it’s not uncommon for a major update to include a few changes that aren’t listed in the official patch notes, it’s always fun to try to figure out whether those changes were planned or were simply the consequence of a bug. Most of the time, there’s a good mix of both. While it’s unclear how many of these modifications were intended to be included in the game in the first place, here’s a list of everything we’ve discovered so far in Elden Ring’s 1.03 update.
Twin Maiden Husks’ Smithing Stones Are Now Significantly Cheaper
Smithing Stones are now easier to obtain on early enemies and can even be purchased from some early game merchants, according to Elden Ring’s version 1.03 patch notes. It turns out that both of these statements are correct. Most of the Nomadic Merchants you meet early on now have a limited supply of Smithing Stones in their inventory, and it’s much simpler to get Smithing Stones as drops from early adversaries. I’m not sure what the new drop rate is, but it’s a significant difference.
Elden Ring Patch Notes Update
However, the patch notes fail to indicate that the Smithing Stones purchased from Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold are now significantly cheaper. I haven’t been able to confirm the precise price difference for each item yet, but the majority of the items I’ve tested so far appear to be roughly 4X cheaper than they were previously. So, if you haven’t already gone to great lengths to locate the Bell Bearings that will allow you to acquire Smithing Stones from Twin Maiden Husks, now is the time to do so. Elden Ring 1.03 is now available for download and installation for everyone playing online, as announced by From Software earlier today.
