Dwayne Haskins Jr. (May 3, 1997 – April 9, 2022) was an American football quarterback who played in the NFL for three seasons. As a redshirt sophomore in 2018, he set Ohio State single-season records for throwing yards and touchdowns in the Big Ten Conference. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the Sammy Baugh Trophy and the Kellen Moore Award. First-round draught pick Haskins was dismissed by Washington Redskins after less than two seasons because of uneven play and issues about his work ethic. The following offseason, he was struck and killed by a car while playing as a backup for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Early years
At age nine, Haskins and his family relocated to Potomac, Maryland from Highland Park, New Jersey.
