As their connection grows stronger, Steve and Nancy begin to develop sentiments for one another that is out of character for them as friends.
Finally, in episode 6, Nancy jumps into a vortex to join Steve in the Upside Down when he goes away for an extended period of time. Even though they don’t kiss or do anything else, Steve and Nancy are clearly attracted to each other. Nancy gets possessed by Vecna at the end of Volume 1, and it appears that Steve will have to save her because Jonathan is a long way away. We won’t know if Nancy and Jonathan break up or if she marries Steve until Volume 2. Clearly, backers are divided. What is it about Nancy and Steve getting back together that makes me so excited? “This Steve and Nancy thing is weird as fuck, I don’t care what the fuck this is,” one person said.
