We regret to inform you of the departure of Christopher Paul Muise, an esteemed member of the dance community, brother, and uncle.
He passed away on February 2, 2024, in an accident that occurred near his residence in Auburndale, Massachusetts. Our thoughts and prayers are with him.
Christopher, aged 42, had a profound impact on numerous individuals with his dynamic disposition, contagious chuckle, and steadfast dedication to dance and the creative disciplines.
Christopher, whose warmth enlivened every occasion, was a pillar of family gatherings; he enjoyed holidays with his close-knit clan and went on excursions with his mother and sister.
His passion was boundless in its regard for family traditions, the dance community, and art. Christopher was a successful dance instructor who built the careers of his pupils and left an indelible impact on the international dance scene. He was well-known for his benevolence and wit.
Having been raised in Plaistow, New Hampshire, Christopher pursued his artistic endeavors at Franklin Pierce College after graduating from the theater program at Timberlane High School.
His teaching career in dance instruction reached its pinnacle at the Balera School of Ballroom Dance in Newton, Massachusetts, where he and his dance companion achieved worldwide renown in the country-western dance industry.
Christopher’s prowess in artistic expression transcended the realm of dance, incorporating stained glass work, drawing, painting, and even mastery of the rope darts.
In addition to his fondness for jokes and puns, his enthusiasm for lively discussions on politics and the human condition rendered family game evenings unforgettable.
In addition to his mother Elizabeth Holmes, father Leo P. Muise, Jr. and wife Jannalee, sister Katie Harkness and her husband JW Harkness, niece Ellie, and grandfather L. Paul Muise, his dance partner Amanda Clark and her husband Micah Hatch, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, survive him.
The scheduled date for a Celebration of Life is March 9, 2024. Donations may be furnished to the Sympathy Store in substitution of floral offerings.
Christopher Muise: An Authority on International Valuations
Christopher Muise’s notable contributions extended beyond the realm of dance to his position as Director of Global Valuations at Gordon Brothers. In this role, he honed his skills in inventory valuation, market research, and liquidation strategies.
Chris began his professional career in 2015 as an appraiser for AccuVal-LiquiTec, which was subsequently acquired by Gordon Brothers.
He supervised commercial and industrial inventory appraisals as the Director of global Valuations, demonstrating expertise in the aerospace, defense, construction, and food and beverage industries.
Complementing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance with an MBA from Providence College is his academic heritage.
Christopher’s adherence to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice demonstrates his dedication to upholding professional standards.
Christopher, who was born and raised in Boston, made a significant contribution to Gordon Brothers and had a positive influence on the industries he worked in.
