Chris Paul Plant Based Diet: The Oklahoma City Thunder guard has regained his fitness and is feeling lighter, stronger, and more energetic after switching to a plant-based diet. His outstanding NBA career has been hampered by injuries that have kept him out of the game even when he was at his best. Chris Paul was selected in the NBA draught of 2005. Despite this, the 10-time NBA All-Star has bounced back and is back to his best form.
He has appeared in every game since the start of the 2019-20 NBA season. The American basketball star claims he switched to a plant-based diet in the summer of 2019 and has been feeling “pretty darn fantastic” since then. In addition to increasing his energy and vigor, the diet has aided his body’s recovery from strenuous practice and game sessions. “I made the decision to adopt a plant-based diet. So far, everything appears to be going well. It’s far from straightforward. It does, however, work for me. “I went plant-based,” he told Men’s Health in June. “I’m going to have to stop totally. You can bet I was scratching my head. I was convinced that I needed a chicken wing for some reason. But I managed to make it through.”
The Change Pioneers
Paul began his transition to a vegan diet when he agreed to work as a co-producer on the pro-vegan documentary The Game Changers. He claimed that after “realizing the benefits of turning plant-based,” he “finally chose to fully commit” to a plant-based diet. He used Instagram to encourage his millions of followers to follow suit after switching to a plant-based diet. He captioned a photo of himself from ESPN’s 2019 Body Issue, “Man listen!” Despite the fact that it may seem paradoxical, as I become older, I’m beginning to feel better in my body! According to the 34-year-old vegan convert, “I’m in a great mood right now! Keep your self-control and health in check, because it all starts here! #ESPNBody.”
A Beyond Meat spokesperson
Paul also owns a part in Beyond Meat, a high-tech vegan meat company. In a video for the company’s website, NBA All-Star and Beyond Ambassador “When my son asks me what is most important, I tell him that my duty is to make a difference outside of the courtroom and to push for change,” states the “Go Beyond” campaign. Everything begins with taking care of myself so that I can work more effectively. What I put into my body is more crucial than ever before. This is something I’m continually reminded of as a mother. I aspire to #GoBeyond in whatever I do.”

LOS ANGELES TELEGRAPH NEWS, October 28 Chris Paul
the Suns’ point guard and a native of barbeque-loving North Carolina, was skeptical about plant-based diets when he first heard about them when he arrived in Los Angeles a decade ago. Paul smiled and told Reuters after saying, “I’m cool off this.” “I eat all the pig you can find,” says a southerner. The 36-year-old perennial All-Star was taken aback by the health benefits only when he took the jump at the age of 36.
Former NFL quarterback Justin Fields, USA Women’s National Team forward Alex Morgan, and Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton have all gone vegan. “It’s changed my life,” Paul stated. During the NBA season, Paul has been able to cut down on his recovery time between games, which he believes will conclude with the Suns returning to the Finals after losing out on a championship by two games in July. Recovery is crucial for a player who plays so many games per season. How quickly does my body recover from the strains of daily life? “And being plant-based, the healing changed just like that,” he continued with a snap of his fingers.
His badly congested sinuses also improved after he made the switch. “My physique has changed as I have immersed myself in it more. Many thanks, “he murmured, a smile on his face. Others who have adopted a plant-based diet as a result of Paul’s experience include his brother, a business manager, and teammate Jay Crowder. Paul, one of the all-time great floor generals and a vocal advocate for racial equality, now has even higher ambitions. He wants to give people who have never had the opportunity to eat a plant-based diet the opportunity to do so. If you live in a place where soda and fast-food restaurants are the only options, he added, that’s what’s affordable and available.
Paul has invested in Koia, a plant-based shake company
With the intention of putting its drinks in vending machines at historically black colleges and universities (HBCU). Paul, who wore HBCU clothing during the bubble and is now pursuing a communications degree at Winston-Salem State University (an HBCU), remarked that there must be an introduction. On college campuses, where students are eager to learn, there is no better place to start. He believes that people should be introduced to plant-based treatments as soon as feasible.
