Braves Baseball Radio Broadcast: The Atlanta Braves Radio Network is a 138-station network (97 AM, 41 FM, and 1 FM translator) that broadcasts Major League Baseball Games of the Atlanta Braves across ten states and one territory in the Southeastern United States. The Atlanta Braves Radio Network is owned and operated by the Atlanta Braves.
The flagship stations, WCNN and WNNX in Atlanta, Georgia, are the company’s flagship stations. Ben Ingram and Joe Simpson are the main booth announcers, and they alternate between play-by-play and color commentary for the majority of game broadcasts. Jim Powell also calls a few games on occasion, as well. The pregame and postgame programs are hosted by Chris Dimino and Kevin McAlpin, respectively. Mark Lemke offers before and postgame commentary, as well as filling in for Sutton during game broadcasts as necessary. Jonathan Chadwick is the radio engineer and game producer for the Braves Network broadcasts. Kevin D’Amico, Chris Culwell, Sean Nerney, Brandon Joseph, John Radcliffe, Cameron Carruth, and Isiah Stewart are among the network’s producers, as is Sean Tierney.
The Atlanta Braves and Freddie Freeman, who are playing in their first World Series since 1999, will take on the Houston Astros and Jose Altuve, who are playing in their third World Series in five years. ESPN Radio will serve as the national audio broadcaster for the 2021 World Series, which will take place in Houston, Texas. Beginning on Tuesday, October 26, at 8 p.m. ET, the Fall Classic will kick off with Game 1. This is the 24th year in a row that ESPN Radio has broadcasted World Series coverage. Eleventh Fall Classic
In his eleventh Fall Classic, Dan Shulman, the national radio voice of the World Series, will call the game on ESPN Radio. Jessica Mendoza, an Olympic gold medalist and ESPN commentator who made history in 2020 by being the first woman to serve as a national game analyst for the World Series, will return to Shulman for a second year. Eduardo Perez, a long-time ESPN game and studio commentator, completes the ESPN Radio World Series broadcast crew. The action will be called by the three on the ground.
During the World Series, Baseball Tonight will capture the action with two pregame programs on ESPN2’s most game nights, as well as pieces during SportsCenter. Karl Ravech will host the first and second games of the World Series, as well as Games 6 and 7, with commentators Tim Kurkjian and Perez reporting live from the World Series. The program will be hosted by Ravech, Kurkjian, and commentator Doug Glanville from ESPN’s Bristol, Connecticut offices before the third and fifth games of the World Series. Jeff Passan, a senior MLB Insider, will also make an appearance on the broadcast. Throughout the World Series, Baseball Tonight will be joined by special guests, including players and coaches from both sides of the field.
Because of the vast geographic scope of the Braves’ region, its radio network has the most number of affiliates of any club in Major League Baseball, according to Baseball-Reference. The Cincinnati Reds, Washington Nationals, and Baltimore Orioles are the three clubs that are the closest to Atlanta’s northern border. The St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers are the closest clubs to the west, while the Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins are the closest teams to the south, according to baseball.com.

Kyle Tait served as the M-Braves’ play-by-play “voice” from 2011 until 2016. Now, Tait owns and operates a production firm called “Tait Productions,” which offers voiceovers for some of the biggest publishing houses in the world. Blake Scott was “Voice of the M-Braves” for home games in 2017 and Derrel Palmer for select road games. Scott presently serves as the video producer for Jackson’s 105.9 The Zone’s popular Out of Bounds show.
