For a single second, Kendrick Lamar’s “We loathe the popo” line was taken off, while Dre’s “Still don’t love the cops” line was not. Despite the NFL’s alleged “nixing” of the latter comment and Eminem’s decision to kneel at the end of his performance, it happened. What if Dre and Eminem said they wouldn’t do it, but the NFL, NBC, and Pepsi prepared for Lamar’s sentence to be bleeped?
