Whats New With Ios 15: On Monday, Apple unveiled iOS 15, the latest version of its mobile operating system. It is the most recent major version of the iPhone’s operating system to be released. There are numerous significant new capabilities, including the ability to make FaceTime calls to users on Windows and Android devices, artificial intelligence that can better detect objects in photos, and Focus, which improves management over notification restrictions.
On Monday, Apple introduced iOS 15, the company’s major annual iPhone software upgrade.
This year’s version includes a number of significant enhancements, including the ability to make FaceTime calls to users on Windows and Android devices, artificial intelligence that can better identify animals, plants, and other objects in photos, and a feature that allows users to better control notification limits.
While Apple releases updates on a regular basis throughout the year, the annual update that is issued in conjunction with the launching of new iPhones contains the greatest number of new features and enhancements.
Apple revealed the latest version of their iOS operating system, iOS 15, in June 2021, and it was made available to the public on September 20, 2021. There are new features for FaceTime calls, methods to decrease distracting activities, a new notification experience, privacy enhancements, entire redesigns of Safari, Weather and Maps, and other improvements in iOS 15.
Apple has overhauled notifications in iOS 15, introducing contact photographs for people and larger icons for apps to stand out more. Notification summaries are used to prevent distraction by grouping alerts together so that they can be sent at the right time and by prioritizing notifications.
With the introduction of Focus, users will now be able to limit notifications and apps based on what they prefer to concentrate on at a given time. The state of a user’s Focus will be visible to other users in Messages when the user’s Focus is blocking incoming alerts.
By utilizing on-device intelligence, iOS will recommend Focuses for various circumstances, such as work hours or winding down for bed. However, users can also design their own bespoke Focuses if they so desire. The Focus setting on one Apple device is automatically applied to all other Apple devices in the same group.
iOS 15 is the name of the upcoming iPhone software version scheduled for release in 2021, as previously revealed by an explicit mention in the source for WebKit. This comes as no surprise – although there have been rumors that Apple may revert to the iPhoneOS branding at some point in the future (as the iPhone operating system was known until iOS 4 replaced iPhone OS 3 in 2010). It’s a decision that makes sense in the long run, especially considering that the iPad, Apple’s other primary device, now runs on its own operating system.
