Virgil Abloh Wedding Dress: One of the many celebrities who have paid respect to the late Virgil Abloh, the groundbreaking designer who passed away at the age of 41, is Hailey Bieber.
When she sealed the knot with 27-year-old pop megastar Justin Bieber, the 25-year-old model was stunned in a special wedding gown designed by the Off-White creator, who died at the age of 41 after a secret struggle with a rare type of cancer.
At the Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina on September 30, 2018, the power couple tied the knot for the second time in front of their family and friends, after a courtroom ceremony in Manhattan earlier in the year.
Also wearing a revolutionary designer’s creation, Hailey dazzled in an amazing pearl-embroidered lace gown with a statement fairytale veil that had the words “until death do us part” emblazoned on its edge. “Till death do us part.”
The model and actress Hailey Baldwin, who has walked on numerous of Virgil’s runways, paid heartfelt homage to the Louis Vuitton Artistic Director, hailing him for his “once-in-a-generation creative mind.”
The gratitude I feel for having met him and working with him can never be properly expressed. From walking on his runways to having him create my wedding dress and all the other great experiences in between, I always felt like he was pulling for me.
I remember him as someone who could brighten any circumstance and every place he stepped into with life, charm, love, and laughter.
“He had a once-in-a-generation creative mind, which is really unusual, and I will never forget his influence.” Virgil, you have our heartfelt admiration. (sic) “

“Virgil fought a rare and severe type of cancer known as cardiac angiosarcoma for more than two years, and he won.
“Since his diagnosis in 2019, he has chosen to fight his battle in the privacy of his home, enduring multiple difficult treatments while serving as the chairman of several prominent institutions spanning fashion, art, and culture.
Throughout it all, his work ethic, boundless curiosity, and unwavering optimism remained unwavering. For Virgil, his passion for his craft and his goal to open doors for others and develop routes for more equality in art and design were the driving forces behind his life.
His motto was, “Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself,” and he believed passionately in the ability of art to inspire future generations.
The fashion icon’s family has requested privacy while they “grieve and commemorate” the passing of their loved one.
“We appreciate everyone for your love and support, and we respectfully request that you respect our privacy while we mourn and celebrate Virgil’s life,” they said.
The designer made history when he succeeded Kim Jones as the creative director of Louis Vuitton in 2018, becoming the first African-American to hold the position at the premium French fashion business.
Virgil began his career as an architect before going on to form the game-changing street fashion brand Off-White, which he launched in 2012.
He got his start in the fashion industry when he earned an internship at Fendi in 2009, where he worked with rap artist Kanye West, with whom he has continued to cooperate.
