Save on foods surrey: Save-On-Foods is a Western Canada-wide supply chain owned by the Food Group of Overwaitea. Shops have standard brand names as well as private label brands, for example Western Family.
Many stores have drugs and some offer other services, including nutrition tours and health clinics, and other features such as Starbucks coffee kiosks, juice bars, and BC wine departments. Save-On-Foods now operates 177 stores throughout the territory of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon.
Many Save-On-Foods locations used to be operated by the Overwaitea group, which was founded in 1915. Pattison bought the property in 1968.
During the growth and redesign of the overall chain in the 1990s and 2000s, most Overwaitea stores were eventually converted to Save-On-Foods stores. Overwaitea Foods, Urban Fare, PriceSmart Foods, and Bulkley Valley Wholesale are the names of several of the company’s stores.
In Edmonton, Alberta’s first Save-On-Foods store opened in 1990. The Save-On-More card was released in May 1992 as the store’s loyalty card. More Rewards is the new name for the program.
