A Guinness World Record for Longest Duration Spinning a Fidget Spinner, on One Hand, was set with a wheel-shaped fidget spinner created by 50 individuals at Mitsubishi over the period of six months. Takayuki Ishikawa was the winner of the achievement, which was the result of a collaborative effort by MinebeaMitsumi Inc. staff. The time that set the record was 24 minutes and 46.34 seconds. Shigeru None, project leader, via Guinness:

“We were able to achieve smoothness and astounding rotation time that we’ve never seen before by combining technologies utilized for space satellites.” We also used bearing manufacturing technology that is often used in aircraft, wheels, and rings. We use the highest-strength aluminum alloys and the highest-quality brass to make wheels and rings that are far thinner and lighter than traditional ones.”

MinebeaMitsumi manufactures motors, sensors, and other items, including fidget spinner ball bearings. The custom-made one costs $450.19 (about 49,800 yen). The World’s Smallest Fidget Spinner was likewise created by eight MinebeaMitsumi employees over the course of two months. It has a width of 5.09 millimeters (0.2 inches).

How long does keep a fidget spinner spinning

Many people have probably set themselves this task, but a group of Japanese employees has taken it a step further by attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest duration spinning a fidget spinner on one finger. It may appear simple, but it is a major endurance test, as evidenced by the way the competitors’ hands begin to tremble after only a few minutes! In the end, Takayuki Ishikawa triumphed, keeping a specially constructed fidget toy spinning for a stunning 24 minutes 46 seconds, nearly 20 minutes longer than the previous record.

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. designed the circular fidget toy used in the attempt. The fidget spinner was created by 50 workers at Mitsubishi Precision Co. Ltd, based on MinebeaMitsumi Inc.’s ball bearings, with a heavy design on the outer and a lighter middle region; it took six months to create and perfect. “We wanted to develop one that was really high-quality, with the smallest, longest rotation, and smoothest features. We intended to demonstrate the precision of our bearing by making the longest spinning fidget spinner “Shigeru None, project leader at MinebeaMitsumi Inc., stated the situation. The team also developed the world’s tiniest fidget spinner, measuring only 5.09 mm (0.20 in) in length.

Takayuki Ishikawa, General Manager of MinebeaMitsumi’s Corporate Communications Office, has set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the longest duration spinning a fidget spinner on one finger, using a fidget spinner “Real Spin Ms'” jointly developed by MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (hereinafter MinebeaMitsumi) and Mitsubishi Precision Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Mitsubishi Precision). (Accreditation date: 11 December 2017, Accredited length: 24 minutes 46.34 seconds) (Longest duration spinning a fidget spinner on one finger) MinebeaMitsumi began as a maker of small ball bearings in 1951. The company holds the world’s largest share of miniature/small-diameter ball bearings of 22mm or less.

Comments upon the accreditation are as follows:

Mitsubishi Precision is a pioneer in the space equipment industry, with a history of more than 50 years in the production of aerospace equipment. From satellite positioning control/development and manufacturing of rocket-mounted equipment to electronic devices for aircraft, numerous simulators, and parking systems, the company has a creative and unique business. MinebeaMitsumi was in charge of bearings, wheel rings, and holder nuts, while Mitsubishi Precision was in charge of design, manufacturing, and testing for “Real Spin Ms.” We achieved maximum spinning time by combining ultra accuracy and space quality (micro and macro).

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. Representative Director, Chairman, CEO, and COO Yoshihisa Kainuma

“This is the third GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS success, following the world’s Smallest ball bearing in 2015 and the world’s Smallest fidget spinner in 2016, thanks to fantastic help from Mitsubishi Precision for making a fidget spinner with overpowering whirling, and I am extremely thrilled. We’ll keep working to fine-tune the “Difference,” which is the source of our competitiveness, and seek to create new value.”

Mitsubishi Precision Co., Ltd. President and CEO Hiroshi Shimomura

“I’m ecstatic and honored to have achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the world’s longest duration spinning a fidget spinner, which MinebeaMitsumi co-created. We want to build on this accomplishment and increase corporate value, as well as accelerate the phase transition to a competitive business and create new market value. For the future of Mitsubishi Precision, please look forward to Creation & Confidence.”

Takayuki Ishikawa was the winner of the achievement, which was the result of a collaborative effort by the staff of MinebeaMitsumi Inc. The time that established the world record was 24 minutes and 46.34 seconds. Through Guinness, we received the following message from project head Shigeru None:

  • It is necessary for fidget spinners to absorb light for 30 or 60 seconds in light situations (sunlight, cell phone backlight, etc.), and then release light under dark conditions.
  • The rotational period is longer than 4 minutes, the bearing is silent, and the sound level is less than 15 dB.
  • Stress-Relieving Toys help to relieve nervous energy, improve concentration, and aid in the treatment of ADHD.
  • It is easy to use, lightweight, small enough to fit in a pocket, and entertaining. INNPLUS’s one-of-a-kind UFO design makes it the ideal gift for your family and friends.
  • We designed all attachments such that they are not sealed and can be removed and reassembled as needed.

“By combining technology previously utilized in space satellites, we were able to achieve unprecedented smoothness and rotation time, something we had never seen before.” We also utilized bearing production technology that was previously used in aviation, as well as wheels and ring fabrication. To achieve this, we combine materials with the best strength among aluminum alloys and the finest grade brass available, resulting in wheels and rings that are far thinner and lighter than traditional ones. ”

The company MinebeaMitsumi designs and manufactures a variety of items, including the ball bearings used in fidget spinners. Approximately $450.19 (49,800 yen) for the one that was custom created. The world’s smallest fidget spinner was likewise created by eight MinebeaMitsumi workers over the course of two months. It has a width of 5.09 millimeters (0.2 inches).

This is a very well-made spinner. Cast metal in its purest form. When spinning, there are no wobbles. It is possible to change the bearing, which requires an R188. Table rotation takes a little under 5 minutes. This one is a no-brainer in terms of both pricing and overall quality. This fidget spinner is just incredible. Initially, I purchased one for my 6-year-old son. His nine-year-old and three-year-old brothers both liked it so much that we purchased two more for each of them. It is heavy-duty, so exercise caution when using it with young children, but my 3-year-old was able to use it with supervision. I was blown away by the overall quality of this fidget spinner. The shining green light was a nice touch, and it does really spin indefinitely, as claimed. This fidget spinner comes highly recommended by me.

***Correction to the Initial Reaction***

When I originally bought it, I thought it was fantastic. It was completely quiet and would spin smoothly for an extended period of time (not 5 minutes like advertised, but longer than other spinners I have used). Unfortunately, after just a week of indoor, moderate usage, the spinner began to slow down and become noisier. I tried removing the caps and using WD40 to see if it would help restore it to its prior state, but it didn’t work. It will now spin for around 20-30 seconds before coming to a complete halt. Unfortunately, while this seemed to be a high-quality, heavy-duty toy, For $15, I suppose it is what it is. I can’t comment on the “glowing characteristics” since I didn’t purchase it for that purpose (and didn’t test it). The search for a successor is still ongoing.
