Incident In Wallington Today: A guy in his twenties has been transported to the hospital after he was discovered with a significant head injury. He is expected to survive. A cyclist was rushed to hospital with significant injuries after being involved in an accident in Wallington. Police are now appealing for assistance in identifying the motorist who fled the scene and has not been apprehended.
At approximately 1.25 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, the bicycle was engaged in an accident with a car on The Street, just east of Wallington.
A blue Audi A5 was suspected of being involved, but it was nowhere to be seen when police arrived on the site. According to reports, the car drove away from the site in the direction of Sandon.
“The cyclist was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries,” said PC Charlotte Child, who is leading the investigation. They have since been released from the hospital after surgery and are recuperating at home.
“According to our investigations, a metallic dark blue convertible Audi A5 may have been involved in the crash, and we are eager to locate this car and its driver as soon as possible.”
