Claire King Corrie Character: Claire King (born Jayne Claire Seed on the 10th of January 1962 in Bradford, Yorkshire) starred as Erica Holroyd in Coronation Street from December 2014 until August 2017 in the role of Erica Holroyd.

In 1987, King appeared in the film Eat the Rich, in which he had a minor part. In 1988, King featured as a Cinema Usherette in an episode of the television show Wish Me Luck. In 1989, she acted like a prostitute in the film Cold Light of Day, which was released in theatres. Soon after, she was hired as Kim Tate in the ITV serial opera Emmerdale, a role she would portray for 10 years until departing the program in 1999.

She appeared as Angela in an episode of the television series Babes in the Wood. When she joined the cast of Bad Girls, she played Karen Betts, who was the wing governor of the state. After four years on the show, she decided to leave in 2004 to pursue other opportunities. A guest appearance on Doctors as Jenny Hennessey in the episode “Into the Shadows” in 2002 was her first appearance on the show.

As Paula Wakeman, King had a part in an episode of the comedy Down to Earth in 2004. She also had a role as Louise Russell in an episode of the television series Dalziel and Pascoe in the episode “Still Waters,” which aired in 2005. Later the same year, King appeared in four episodes of the popular drama television series The Courtroom, in which she portrayed Madeline Jackson-Carter.

She starred as Andrea Mason QC, a lawyer representing Justin Burton, in six episodes of the Channel 4 soap drama Hollyoaks, which aired from 2005 to 2006. In an episode of Holby City titled “Not Another Car Wreck,” she played Janice Perry, a character she subsequently played on the show.

She appears as Lucy Bayliss in the episode “Slings and Arrows” of the medical drama The Royal, which aired in 2008 on the ABC television network. In 2008, King featured on two episodes of the Channel 5 topical discussion program The Wright Stuff and on the Alan Titchmarsh Show, where he was a panelist on both shows. She had an appearance in the documentary Emmerdale 50000, which was created to celebrate the television show’s five thousand episodes.

King has featured as a guest on the popular lunchtime talk program Loose Women on a number of occasions. She appeared as a guest panelist on Emmerdale in 2012 to commemorate the show’s 40th anniversary, and she returned to the show in August 2017 for two further guest panelist appearances. In 2010, King featured as Betsy in the BBC Three comedy The Gemma Factor, in which she also starred. King served as a panelist on one edition of the Channel 5 discussion program The Wright Stuff, which dealt with current events. She then toured with Liberty X vocalist Michelle Heaton in the comic production The Naked Truth, which was performed in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In an episode of Hollyoaks aired in 2012, she made an appearance as a Governor. Gina, a character in the film The Wedding Video, was played by her.

In 1989, she graduated from Harrogate Ladies College and is best known for her role as Kim Tate in the ITV serial Emmerdale, which she starred in from 1989 until 1999. After a temporary comeback to the post in 2018, she returned to it full-time starting in 2019. Additionally, she has featured in Doctors, Bad Girls, Holby City, Hollyoaks, and Casualty, among other shows.

She has been on reality television shows such as Strictly Come Dancing (2006) and Celebrity Big Brother (2014). That same year, she appeared as a participant on the game show Pointless Celebrities, which she won.
