Brian Landrie Family: The man who has been identified as an individual of interest within the disappearance of his fiancée, 22-year-old Gabrielle Petito, is now missing, consistent with his family attorney.
Dozens of protesters crowded the front of Brian Laundrie’s home Friday, posing for answers regarding Petito’s disappearance.
Petito has not been heard from since she spoke to her mother on Aug. 25 after a visit with Laundrie, across the western us.
Laundrie has refused to cooperate with authorities since returning to his range in North Port without Petito on Sept. 1, prompting her family to report her missing on Sept. 11.
Shortly into the protest, North Port Police with the FBI went into the Laundrie home at the request of Brian Laundrie’s parents, who had still never previously spoken with enforcement.
Brian Laundrie’s attorney confirmed the FBI was at the house to gather evidence to undertake to work out where Brian Laundrie could be.
Since his return to Florida, Laundrie has not been cooperating with the investigation, as we’ve reported. Despite being named an individual of interest, Laundrie has firmly refused to talk to the police or the press. within the latest stunning twist, he’s now apparently gone missing. The breaking development was confirmed by WABC reporter Kristin Thorne, and confirmed by police.
A video captured by the Moab City local department in Utah showed officers responding to a 911 call about the violent incident between Petito, 22, and Laundrie, 23, outside of a grocery on August 12.
The quite hour-long clip begins with officers pulling over the couple’s white 2012 Ford Transit van and approaching the passenger-side window.
With tears streaming down her face, Petito tells the officer: “We’ve just been fighting this morning. Some personal issues.”
Laundrie and his fiancé Petito went on a cross-country road trip onboard their white Ford Transit van that started in July.
Petito, who told her family she was visiting a Wyoming national work on August 25, then went missing.
She was last seen on August 24 after leaving a Salt Lake City, Utah hotel. Laundrie has since returned home safely and has hired an attorney but isn’t cooperating with the police.
The details of when he returned are unknown; the family says Laundrie isn’t speaking about what happened. Detectives have opened an investigation into the case of Petito and police have revealed he’s now a “person of interest”.
While not much is understood about Laundrie, he’s known for being even as adventurous as his partner. consistent with his Instagram bio, he’s a “nature enthusiast,” and his most up-to-date pictures are from his cross-country travels.
His Instagram account also indicates that he’s an artist as he has multiple pictures posted associated with printmaking art. On September 14, Laundrie issued a press release through his lawyer, saying: “This is a particularly difficult time for both the Petito family and therefore the Laundrie family.
“I understand that an inquiry has been organized for Miss Petito in or near Grand Teton Park in Wyoming. On behalf of the Laundrie family, it’s our hope that the look for Miss Petito is successful which Miss Petito is reunited together with her family.
“On the recommendation of counsel the Laundrie family is remaining within the background at this juncture and can haven’t any further comment.
