Young direct-to-consumer startup Fresh Clean Tees is quickly becoming the go-to source for men’s necessities because of its strong social media presence and rising fan base. Tees come in a variety of styles, colors, and sizes (from small to 3XL and tall), all for less than $20. To top it all off, the company’s return policy is incredibly straightforward. Sustainability is one area where the organization is making considerable strides. It is their goal to eliminate all synthetic materials by the year 2025. According to company founder Melissa Parvis, “our long-term goal is to ensure that consumers don’t have to choose between price, comfort or environmental impact.”

There are no single-use plastic components in Fresh Clean Tees’ packaging, and the company exclusively uses manufacturers accredited by Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), an association that ensures supply chain suppliers are socially and ethically responsible. A trustworthy third-party organization certifies the factories where the company sources its materials, ensuring ethical working conditions for its employees as well as high environmental requirements. Currently, the company uses synthetics and non-organic cotton, but this is changing. The Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to ocean conservation, receives a part of every transaction made by the company as well. This year, Fresh Clean Tees has given $250,000 to charity.

Aesthetics, form, and size

I tried out the V-Neck Tee, the Long Sleeve Henley, and the Cali Pullover from Fresh Clean Tees. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the smoothness of StratuSoft, a proprietary polyester, cotton, and rayon combination used in the T-shirt and henley. Cotton and polyester are used to make the Cali Pullover, which is a more substantial garment. There are no annoying tags to get in the way, and all the information you require is printed on the inside of the shirt, which is a plus in my book!

According to Melissa, the brand’s sizing has given it a household name, and the company is considering adding 4XL to its product line. Tall Tees, with a longer torso, are a new addition. In addition, the company has a wide choice of colors, from Heather Grey to Flash Green.

Initial thoughts and feelings

I was impressed by the quality of the materials, the heft, and the timeless design elements of all three designs. If you’re searching for something a little fancier than a basic T-shirt, the Long Sleeve Henley is a great option for the warmer months. If you’re looking for a more casual look, this shirt includes three buttons and raglan sleeves. Despite its heavier texture, the Cali Pullover is still light enough to wear on summer nights but sturdy enough for fall.

The nitty gritty.

I was blown away by every Clean Tees product I tried. They were quite comfortable, with a nice amount of giving and flexibility, and a perfect fit. After multiple washes, I found no signs of shrinkage or color fading, and the fabric appeared to be well-made. In the event that you don’t like your t-shirt, you can return it within 100 days. To put it another way, there’s no reason not to give it a shot. For this year, I’m opting for a casual yet fashionable look. Even if it’s in the privacy of your own house, this pandemic will eventually force us all underground (only for us to bravely rise up against the mutated surface-dwellers who have come to roam the societal wilderness in the centuries ahead).

Maximum Comfort

In 2020, I went all out for maximum comfort. I wore a button-up shirt only three times, and all of my pants were eventually given away because there were so few special occasions. The fact that I had long been defined by my love of dark blue jeans (as well as white sneakers, which I’ll probably be buried in) made this a really significant moment for me. From band tees to flannels, from formal shirts to well-made essentials for men, I’ve gone through phases of what I wore on top of my pants over the years.

Fresh Clean Tees, the Libby app, and a coffee shop near my house that resembles an early-2000s apartment party were some of my favorite discoveries of the year in 2021. One year ago, I couldn’t have imagined the state of my closet as it is today. It’s mostly bonkers-soft v-necks these days. When a once-in-a-century global epidemic compelled me to cook at home instead of going out to eat, I switched from a crew neck t-shirt to a v-neck. That coincided with my increasing physical activity, primarily due to the fact that I was unemployed at the time. Push-ups only became popular after what seemed like a complete collapse of society. Even though I yelled like Liam McPoyle every time I pushed myself up, I still did ’em. Fresh Clean Tees also provided me with a variety of other items, including v-necks.

There are several long and short-sleeved henleys in my closet (since I’m built like Slenderman), polos (because dudes have to have business casual because capitalism demands it), and an assortment of warm and cozy hoodies and sweatshirts (I can’t stress how comfortable these are enough). This is how I’m going to dress in 2023, no matter what happens. The tyranny of stiff fabrics and cluttered closets is not something I intend to return to. Live, damnit, live! I’ve got better things to do. The search for that one piece of clothing I like is over. As a result, the aforementioned way of life has never been easier for me now that I’m a fan of everything in there. No matter what happens (even if it’s only in front of my mirror because we’ll soon be unable to leave our houses and have to send out substitutes), I’ll be feeling good and looking nice. Woo!

So, what is this Fresh Clean Tees business all about? A husband and wife pair launched their online shop in 2015 and have been running it ever since. They were well aware of the flaws in the men’s basic market. Despite the fact that many of the shirts they found to fit well and looked excellent, they were all over the price range of $30 to $50. How absurd! Cheaper tees are available, but they are of low quality, do not fit properly, and begin to fall apart after a few items of washing. They also lacked a sense of uniformity. That’s why Fresh Clean Tees was created by a husband-and-wife team. Sixty-percent cotton, forty-percent polyester. That translates to 60% cotton and 40% polyester for their shirts. It allows for the shirts to be light, breezy, and elegant all at the same time.

I don’t use the word “hate” very frequently, but the Fresh Clean Tees Longline Shirt was one of those things that I really didn’t like. Need a straightforward assessment of the Fresh Clean Tees Longline? They’re a disgrace. There is an excessive amount of time invested in them. All I have to say about the subject is “thank you.” If Fresh Clean Tees is aiming to emulate Buck Mason’s Curved Hem, then these tees are out of control. My wife may wear the Longline Tee with leggings or a dress. Even worse, the t-Split shirt’s Hem added insult to injury.
